LESS WASTE - MORE RECYCLING - FOR A BETTER FUTURE

Inks Used by Standout Mats 

We only use Water Based Sublimation Inks on our Australian-made Bar Runners, Counters Mats, Stubby Holders and Gaming Mats. These Water Based Inks are fully biodegradable that completely break down into natural elements like water, carbon dioxide, and biomass by microbial action, typically leaving no toxic residue or microplastics. To add to that, as we carefully check all pre-press work before printing, there is very little waste with our Inks and paper usage. 

Sublimation Paper

All used and unused Sublimation Paper is thoughtfully deposited into our Cleanaway Recycling Bin. Standout Mats has a partnership with Cleanaway, thus giving all our cardboard and paper waste a new life and fully recycled and transformed into new paper and cardboard products – ready to be recycled again and again. It’s a simple and effective way for businesses to reduce landfill, optimise their waste disposal costs and contribute to a circular economy.

Felt Waste and offcuts

All Felt Waste and offcuts from the Standout Mats Felt Topped / Rubber backed mats manufacturing process, is fully separated and cut down into thin slithers. These fully trimmed slithers of felt is then re-used for animal and chicken bedding, thus given a new lease of life.

Nitrile Rubber Waste and offcuts

Standout Mats uses Fully Australian-made Nitrile Rubber on our unique Nitrile Rubber backed Mats. Once the mats are trimmed on our Trimming Machine the rubber slithers are packed into re-used boxes and available FREE OF CHARGE for any Club or Business who uses Boxing Punching Bags, Archery Targets or Recycled Rubber Materials for Playgrounds. As the slithers are great for packing the Archery Targets, as the material is dense enough, and doesn’t damage the arrow heads on impact. Also, the rubber it is both heavy and dense enough to be ideal for Boxing Punching Bags and perfect for Recycled Rubber Playground surfaces.

Longer Lasting Products

Our Bar Runners are produced in our factory using the very best Australian-made materials. Because our Bar Runners last longer than all the cheap imported Chinese Bar Runners, and are fully washable, you will be using our mats for a much longer time and thus reducing the amount of waste, if they are starting to look old. Our Felt is better produced, and washes better than overseas cheaper alternatives.

• Nitrile Rubber Backing: Heavy-duty entrance and anti-fatigue mats use 100% Nitrile rubber, which resists oil and degradation, extending product lifespans and reducing replacement frequency waste.

• Natural Rubber Options: Anti-fatigue lines use 100% natural rubber, providing a biodegradable and renewable base alternative to synthetic petrochemical plastics.

• Local Manufacturing: Producing custom bar runners and mats locally in Victoria reduces the carbon footprint associated with importing heavy rubber goods from overseas.

Lifecycle and Waste Reduction

• Washable Lifespan: Fully washable synthetic cut-pile surfaces and robust rubber bases prevent curling, fraying, or cracking under heavy commercial foot traffic, minimizing premature disposal.

• Reduced Chemical Damage: High-specification rubber prevents spills from leaking through to damage underlying structures, lowering secondary repair and material replacement impacts.
